Performing: Lady with a Hand Mirror
Set appropriately in the historic Jackson Terminal train station, Marble City Opera's production of "Postcard from Morocco" by Dominick Argento is about 7 travelers who find themselves passing through a train station. Strangers to each other, their intentions, personalities and quirks are all revealed through haunting melodies and poignant vignettes. Questioning others motivations, these characters spend the entire opera suspicious of one another and completely unaware of the "control" which they are under.
Directed by James Marvel and stocked with exciting voices from all over the region, this is a piece that you won't want to miss.
